Seven Rowers Place in Erg in the Burgh Championship

Seven Pine-Richland student-athletes from Pine-Richland placed at the 25th Annual Erg in the Burgh indoor rowing championship hosted by the North Allegheny Rowing Association on February 21. The event welcomed more than 230 athletes from across the Pittsburgh region to Marshall Middle School for a full day of racing.

From the high school team, sophomore Mark Corbin secured first place in the Men’s Coxswain race, while sophomore Kate Clawson took the top spot in the Women’s Lightweight (LWT) Novice 2K. Sophomore Brynn Centner earned a silver medal in the Women’s LWT JV 2K.

From the middle school team, seventh-graders Adrian Murray and Carson Chiles placed first and second, respectively, in the Men’s Middle School 1K. Seventh-graders Ivy Austin and Monica Zottola secured second and third place, respectively, in the Women's Men’s Middle School 1K.
