Jared Slimm was named head coach of the Pine Richland Girls Golf team in 2020. During his tenure, the program has grown and now includes a junior varsity team and regular engagement with middle school-aged players. As a coach and player, Mr. Slimm believes that learning to golf is a gateway to a lifetime sport and there is room for growth no matter your skill level. His teams focus on skills around the green as the significant way to improve and reinforce the mentality that, while golf is an individual sport, the team mindset matters.
Mr. Slimm has been a social studies teacher at Pine Richland High School since 2016 and currently teaches the sophomore-level class AP European History and two senior-level classes: Sports & Culture and Philosophy. Previously, Mr. Slimm held middle school social studies positions at Blackhawk School District in Beaver Falls and Cherry Hill Public Schools in Cherry Hill, New Jersey.
Mr. Slimm has a bachelor’s degree in secondary education, social studies from The Pennsylvania State University and a master’s degree in curriculum and instruction from The University of Scranton. He is married with two daughters.

I was born and raised in the city of Pittsburgh and graduated with a Bachelor's degree in microbiology from Penn State in 1990. I am an active person who enjoys golfing, biking, and traveling. For over 30 years and counting, I have been married and live in Ross Township. We have one daughter, Julie McNally, who graduated from Ohio State University with a Bachelor's degree. She is currently in her 2nd year at the University of Pennsylvania studying to become a veterinarian. Out of college, I worked in clinical laboratories at Allegheny General Hospital and also Central Blood Bank before becoming a science teacher at Pine-Richland.
