Middle School Head Coach
About Me: Hi folks, I'm Coach Charlie / Herr Bauer — Middle School Boys Soccer Coach here at Pine-Richland and German teacher at North Hills Middle School. I've been playing for, well, forever now and coaching since I've been able to manage a group of a couple dozen U6 players around 13 or so years old. At a more formal level, I've also coached middle school soccer and later served as the JV Head Coach and Varsity Assistant at North Hills, along with running training sessions for PAWest programs. Our young players come in representing their school for the first time: as such, my goal is to acclimate them to the demands of school sports and keep them passionate about the game, all while building the skills to help them succeed in the years to come. I think my excitement for the game — and, moreover, sharing it with our players — demonstrates itself most when I get out there and kick around with the gents during practice or summer sessions...at least until I pull my hamstring.
