Mike Guffey
Strength and Conditioning Coach
Coach Guffey graduated from Seneca Valley High School in 1998 as a 3-year letter winner in football and track. He went on to continue playing at Mercyhurst College in 1998-2002. He played all 4 years as a wide receiver. After graduating in 2002, he joined the Marines to go fight for our country after 9/11. He served in a scout sniper platoon for his tours in Iraq and Afghanistan and received an honorable discharge in 2006. He then received his MS in Exercise Physiology from the University of Pittsburgh in 2008 and completed an internship with the Olympic sports under Kim King. From 2008 until 2015, he trained individuals full time and helped open and run the programming for 3 separate gyms in the area. Throughout this time, he had an opportunity to help thousands of people and athletes achieve their nutrition, health, and sports performance goals. In 2015, he took a little break from training and sold medical devices for Smith and Nephew orthopedics. In 2018, he realized how much he missed training and started his own company, The Movement Flow, where he decided to start to focus on individual clients and their specific need rather than groups.
