Varsity Head Coach
Coach Dave Offner is entering his 10th season with Pine-Richland High School Boys Lacrosse, and his fourth year as Head Coach. As a four-year letterman and three-year starter for Mt. Lebanon High School, he was named an All-American defenseman and team captain his senior year. While at Mt. Lebanon, Offner led his team to three Division I WPIAL titles as a starter in 2006, 2007 (State Runner-Up) and 2008. He then went on to play four years of Division II lacrosse at Seton Hill University as a three-year starter and played in every game. While Offner was a member of the team, Seton Hill was consistently ranked as one of the top 10 teams in the nation for DII Lacrosse. He also coached for several years for the Pittsburgh Low & Away Lacrosse Club and Nitro Lacrosse Club. Pine-Richland has made playoffs every year during Offner's tenure with the team, including the 2019 WPIAL Championship Team, which Offner then served as Defensive Coordinator. Pine-Richland has produced five USA Lacrosse All-Americans during Offner's tenure with the team as well as several All-Section and All-WPIAL Nominations. With a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Mathematics from Seton Hill University and a Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering Technology from Point Park University, Dave currently works as a civil engineer for Civil & Environmental Consultants, Inc.

Offensive Coordinator
Coach Bradley LaBovick has been on staff for four seasons. An Allderdice alum, LaBovick played attack where he was a three-year captain and holds the record for most goals, ground balls and points in program history. He was named to the All APIAL team in 2011 and 2012 when he was also inducted into the Jewish Sports Hall of Fame. LaBovick continued his career at La Roche University where he set the single-game scoring record with 11 goals and served as a captain for three years. After college, he was drafted by the Colorado Collegiate Box Lacrosse League in the sixth round as a starting forward. He went on to play with other teams in various box leagues.
Coach LaBovick has coached at some level of lacrosse since 2015. When he’s not on the field with the Rams, he works as a project manager and sales consultant at Exceptional Exteriors & Renovations, Inc.
Paul Schwartz, Varsity Assistant

In his second year with the Rams, Coach Paul Schwartz grew up in Allison Park and played lacrosse at The Kiski School where he was named captain his senior year. Coach Schwartz continued his lacrosse career playing NCAA D3 lacrosse at Elmira College in upstate New York, where he was again named a senior year captain. After graduating in 2011, Schwartz began coaching at La Roche University, serving as the defensive coordinator from 2012-2014. Moving to head coach at Knock High School in 2015, he led the program to its first two winning seasons. In 2017, Schwartz became the head defensive coordinator at Shady Side Academy during which the team made three WPIAL playoff appearances and two state playoff games. Before coming to Pine-Richland, Schwartz coached at Hampton for two years assisting them in a third-place WPIAL finish enabling them to go to the state playoffs.

Faceoff Specialist
Coach Logan Gray joins us for his third year as a Faceoff Coach. Logan played lacrosse for Canon-MacMillan High School where he was named team captain, 3x All-WPIAL, and 3x All-Section player for faceoffs. After graduating in 2018, he played NCAA Lacrosse for four years at Seton Hill earning 2x All-Section, GMAC Specialist of the Year, 1st team All-North Region, USILA All-American, and Inside Lacrosse All-American. Upon completing his Bachelor of Arts in Mathematics at SHU in 2022, Logan moved to the University of Pittsburgh to complete his second degree in Civil Engineering and Construction Management. He recently started as a Project Engineer with PJ Dick.

Alex Hein is entering his third season as a Goalie Coach for Pine-Richland. A three-year letterman and Varsity starting goaltender for Pine-Richland, he was a two-time All-Section and one-time All-WPIAL selection and holds the record for all-time saves leader at PR. After graduating in 2014, Alex continued his lacrosse career at the University of Dayton, playing on a club team until he graduated in May of 2021. He currently works as an industrial engineer at Westinghouse Electric Company.

Head JV Coach
Coach Young is entering his second year as the Head JV Coach. A native of Pittsburgh, Coach Alex Young played lacrosse for Shady Side Academy where he was a WPIAL silver medalist, PIAA qualifier and co-section champion. Although recruited to play D1 lacrosse at Furman University, Coach Young stepped away from the game and attended Point Park University. After graduating, he returned to lacrosse as an assistant coach for the St. Edmund’s Academy boys’ and girls’ lacrosse teams, grades 5-8 in 2018-2019. Before joining the Pine-Richland coaching staff this season, he founded the Sixes Prize League, and Olympic-format lacrosse league with games broadcast live on television.

Coach Guffey graduated from Seneca Valley High School in 1998 as a 3-year letter winner in football and track. He went on to continue playing at Mercyhurst College in 1998-2002. He played all 4 years as a wide receiver. After graduating in 2002, he joined the Marines to go fight for our country after 9/11. He served in a scout sniper platoon for his tours in Iraq and Afghanistan and received an honorable discharge in 2006. He then received his MS in Exercise Physiology from the University of Pittsburgh in 2008 and completed an internship with the Olympic sports under Kim King. From 2008 until 2015, he trained individuals full time and helped open and run the programming for 3 separate gyms in the area. Throughout this time, he had an opportunity to help thousands of people and athletes achieve their nutrition, health, and sports performance goals. In 2015, he took a little break from training and sold medical devices for Smith and Nephew orthopedics. In 2018, he realized how much he missed training and started his own company, The Movement Flow, where he decided to start to focus on individual clients and their specific need rather than groups.

Coach Guffey resides in Pine Township with his wife, Carrie, and their twin children, Rocco and Lola.
