Miranda Johnston brings a lifelong passion for lacrosse, player development, and positive team culture to the program. She is a Rochester, New York native who played throughout high school before continuing her collegiate lacrosse career at Slippery Rock University.
After earning her bachelor’s degree in Health and Physical Education, Coach Johnston moved to Georgia to serve as an assistant coach for a Division III women’s lacrosse program while completing her master’s degree in Special Education. Throughout her career, she has coached at every level of the game, from youth and club lacrosse to the collegiate level, giving her a well-rounded perspective on athlete development both on and off the field.
Known for her positive energy, strong relationships with players, and belief-driven coaching style, Coach Johnston prides herself on building confident, resilient athletes while keeping the game fun, competitive, and purpose-driven. Her leadership approach is often described as Ted Lasso–esque, blending encouragement, accountability, and enthusiasm.
