Tommy is honored to be a Girls' Wrestling Coach at PR, guiding athletes from grades 7 through 12. This opportunity arose from his experience coaching the Boys' Middle School and High School teams, and he feels truly blessed.
When we began, we had just two female wrestlers. However, once Pennsylvania sanctioned the sport, our team blossomed to 26 empowered young women competing in the 2023-24 season. In our first year, we had two first-year varsity wrestlers qualify for Western Regionals, and every girl who competed experienced victory.
Leading this grassroots effort to grow the sport has been a surreal and deeply fulfilling experience. He looks forward to every practice, meet, and tournament with great enthusiasm. He firmly believes that wrestling helps student-athletes become better people, and his team continually inspires him to improve as a coach and individual. Wrestling isn't easy and it isn't for everyone, but he believes every girl should have the chance to experience it.
